This workout was a little hard considering all the stroke stuff, but it didn't end up being too horrible. I was really sore and tired this morning, but outside of some hockey related aching in my wrists and neck, I'm feeling okay now.

Today is the day before my first triathlon. I'm trying to hydrate without having to pee every twenty minutes, and I'm eating a ton of carbs, though not necessarily on purpose. Tomorrow I will get up at 5:30 and shower/eat/drive to Windsor and get this thing started.

Thinking about it makes me so nervous I feel like I'm going to throw up. It's like before I played hockey the first time, like pretty much every time I go up to bat in a softball game. It's the fear of failing, I think, the worry I won't be good enough, won't make it. But this race is only against me. I can take as much time as I like. There is no better reward than crossing that finish line and knowing that I can do it, I didn't fail. I walked a marathon last June. It was probably the hardest physical feat I'd ever attempted up to that point (and so far, still). And days later, when I was still sore and my toes were bruised, I realized that I can do a lot more than I thought I could.

I'm going to rock this thing.
